Why did Hoku prepare such an elaborate 2006 Annual Report when the company is still in an early stage of its growth?
Unlike many companies that pay many thousands of dollars for a marketing firm to design their annual reports, our 2006 Annual Report was designed in-house by a full-time member of our business development team. The only third party costs we incurred were the typesetting, printing and postage charges. These costs are about the same as we would have incurred had we prepared a less impressive annual report. The elaborate appearance is simply a reflection of one person's graphic design talents, and is not a reflection of the cost to prepare the report.
